Orin Swift Abstract Red 2021 750ml

An opaque purple core with a glowing mauve rim, the 2021 Abstract brings forth opening aromas of muddled blue and blackberries with a frame of dark chocolate brownie and seasoned leather. The wine enters with class, being soft and lush, with notes of ripe plum, boysenberry and Santa Maria tri-tip. Grippy, chewy tannins, the wine closes with pleasing sarsaparilla and blackcurrant.

Orin Swift Machete 750ml

Black ink that coats the glass and transforms it into an altered state, the Machete opens with decadent aromas of blue and black fruits, charred meat, a hint of funk and troves of minerality. The entry is more dense than expected with notes of black plum, other stone fruits and essence of game but yet tempered and balanced by candied orange peel and leveled acidity. Typical tannins for this Petite Sirah-based wine, the wine closes with voluptuous texture and intensity.

Orin Swift Papillon 2020 750ml

The dark crimson core and brick rim sets the stage, as aromas of currant, blackberry, blue fruits, anise, lavender and brioche float from the glass. Enveloping and coating becomes mixed berry pie, sarsaparilla, cola and blackcurrant with structured heft through the mid-palate. Chalky tannins a la black tea or baking chocolate round out the wine with a pleasing finish of sweet oak.

Pahlmeyer Jayson Sauvignon Blanc 2023 750ml

The 2023 vintage offers a very pure expression of Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc, a captivating balance of weight and intensity with bright, fresh acidity. Aromas of lemongrass, orange blossom, pink grapefruit, and Key lime pie are mirrored on the focused, layered palate. A dynamic interplay of ripe fruit, rich sur lie texture, and brisk acidity amplifies and extends through the mid-palate, introducing hints of white pepper and crushed rock. The finish is long and mouthwatering, the bracing high notes slowly melting into an echo of candied grapefruit peel. Drink this bright, sunny wine well chilled, around 45-50°F. It's a fantastic aperitif, easy to sip on its own, especially al fresco. Pair this mouthwatering wine with ahi carpaccio with a citrus relish, heirloom tomato bruschetta, or grilled scallops with mango salsa.
