A deep ruby color in the glass, the wine greets the nose with fruit aromas of raspberry, black plum and currant, with violet, orange peel, cedar, leather and forest floor. Flavors of dark fruit - black cherry, plum and currant -up front on the palate are joined by bramble and cedar with some tobacco and leather. This is a bold wine with full fruit, balanced acidity and smooth tannins. A long, lingering finish boasts big fruit and spicy, toasty oak.

What an aromatic roller-coaster ride. The first sniff of the glass yields bright red cherries and orange zest. Then you get a burst of roasted red peppers, followed by a shot of espresso. Restrained acidity and velvety tannins accompany raspberry, smoked cherry and earthy oregano flavors. Great value here.

The 2022 Pinot Noir Inscription is a bright red hue and is also bottled under screwcap. It's expressive and spicy with notes of ripe cherries, toasted baking spice, cranberries, and forest floor. The palate is approachable and mid-weight, with a refreshing feel and balanced ripeness. It's a charming wine to enjoy over the near term.
