Savory varietal notes of Cabernet Sauvignon are layered with the dark fruit character of Petite Sirah. The bouquet of cocoa powder, caramel, and anise works in harmony with the black cherry fruit signature of this wine. Bright and focused on the palate, with a firm and appetizing finish. Serve with Santa Maria-style grilled tri-tip seasoned with a simple garlic, salt, and pepper rub, along with grilled French bread, fresh salsa, and stewed pinquito beans for a classic coastal California feast.

This regionally respectful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah is satisfyingly rich and hedonistically attractive on all fronts. Smoke-kissed aromas of black cherry, purple flower and light cola on the nose lead into a palate that is full of ripe black cherry and cola flavors, yet with a firm structure.

The 2020 Red Wine Pure Paso Proprietary is hauntingly dark and balsamic in the glass. Menthol and Bakers chocolate complement the depths of dried black cherry. It's surprisingly lifted and elegant on the palate, guided by racy acidity. Tart wild berry fruits and exotic spices drench the palate in youthful concentration. This leaves a staining of fine tannins and balsamic tones to linger, finishing structured and with dramatic length. The Pure Paso is a blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Petite Sirah, 5% Petit Verdot, 2% Malbec and 1% Merlot that matured for eighteen months in a combination of American and French oak.

The 2020 Pure Paso checks in as 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Petite Sirah, 5% Petit Verdot, and splashes of Malbec and Merlot that spent 18 months in American and French oak. Its deeper plum color is followed by a charming, forward, delicious red with savory tannins, notes of savory red and black fruits as well as tobacco, medium-bodied richness, and again, more dry tannins on the finish.
